Rod,
I ran across your site this morning and thought I would drop a note to say hello to a fellow picker.
A co-founded a site that, like yours, publishes information on bluegrass jams. Actually, we allow our users to publish information on any sort of acoustic folk jam, including bluegrass. We bring in several RSS feeds as a service to our users, and I wanted to let you know that I added yours this morning. We’ll be kind to your bandwidth and only hit your feed once every 24 hours – if you want that interval changed I can make it longer. The feed appears on http://www.folkjam.org/aggregator/sources/14
I’ve also added a link directing folks to your site with a brief description. If you want the text of that link to read differently simply drop me a line and I’ll blend in your changes. The link entry is here: http://www.folkjam.org/node/2496
If you are interested in adding a link to http://www.folkjam.org from pickinparty.com you can find linking guidelines and graphics on http://www.folkjam.org/link
We’ve also got RSS feeds if you wish to augment your listings. More information is on http://www.folkjam.org/help/rss

The Bay Area Bluegrass Association known as BABA, was organized in early 1986 and incorporated in 1987 under the Texas Non-Profit Corporation Act. The primary purpose of BABA is to preserve, encourage, and promote Bluegrass and Bluegrass Gospel music as an American art form. BABA promotes Bluegrass through being active in community events, fund raisers, festivals, and monthly shows.
We are proud to have supported our community in a variety of functions, fund raisers, festivals and shows. A few of these events have included: teaching beginning musicians of all ages in our slow jams, furnishing bluegrass bands with a place to perform and polish their skills, support to KPFT (listener-sponsored radio); The Seabrook Rotary; Crime Stoppers fund raiser; Armand Bayou Nature Center’s Fall Festival; the Annual Fire On The Strings Bluegrass Festival; Bluegrass In The Park at League Park; Dickinson Parks Dept. concert series; and providing entertainment for area nursing homes, churches, and service organizations.
The monthly show is held on the third Saturday of each month at the Johnny Arolfo Civic Center (except December) at 300 W. Walker, League City, Texas and the FIRE ON THE STRINGS FESTIVAL at Haven’s Landing Resort the third weekend of May. The monthly show is free and features Bluegrass from the local and national scene. The stage show begins at 6:30 PM, but pickers are welcome to bring their instruments and come earlier. The BABA kitchen provides tasty, inexpensive food and beverages (NO ALCOHOL). Door prizes are offered at every show.
